Sea Fever hits Palmerston North
Come and celebrate with ex-Palmerston North woman Angela Meyer as she launches her book ‘Sea Fever: from First Mate to First Date’. In the book Angela reminisces about her zany single life and time with comedy troupe ‘Real Hot Bitches’ and give a no-holes barred account of marriage, motherhood and being confined in a small space with a bloke and a toddler, 24/7. Sea Fever catalogues the highs and lows of sailing away in pursuit of adventure and to fulfil a dream; the thrill (and hardship) of breaking away from the routine of life on land; and all the things (mechanical or otherwise) that can go wrong on a boat when you’re stuck in the middle of the ocean. Told with with, verve and courage, Angela Meyer shows you how to survive and stay sane on a yacht and offers sharp observations and advice about tackling life. 6:30 drinks, 7pm talk.
